Waiau Pa Community Hall is a long-standing local landmark in the heart of Waiau Pa.
Known for its heritage charm and versatility, the hall plays host to a wide range of community events, from yoga and playgroups to weddings and meetings.
Despite its active use, the hall had no online presence, making it difficult for locals and event organisers to find essential information or make bookings. The committee wanted a website that could:
- Act as a central hub for hall-related info and activities
- Increase awareness and participation in community events
- Streamline the booking process
- Reflect the hall's historic and community-focused identity
The team had a logo and were gathering content and photography but needed help bringing it all together into a professional and intuitive online presence.
RAZOR was approached to create a custom website tailored to the needs of both the Waiau Pa Community Hall committee, and the people they serve.
We began by guiding the content structure and reviewing supplied material to ensure clarity and flow. Drawing on the newly designed logo and fresh photography from the committee, we developed a clean, approachable design that reflects the warmth and heritage of the community.
The booking process was a key focus. We implemented a simple yet effective venue availability calendar - similar to that used on other trusted community sites - to streamline enquiries and minimise back-and-forth emails. The final site also features clear calls to action, a comprehensive facilities overview, and forms that connect directly to the committee's dedicated admin and booking email addresses.
The new Waiau Pa Community Hall website is now live and delivering real value to the community. Key results include:
